Young people in communities can serve as a catalyst for change when given the platform, opportunity, and resources. Youth serving as change agents in the community is known as youth empowerment. Applying this empowerment approach to youth-led programs develops social and political awareness in youth which enhances their skills in driving positive change within the community. If you are interested in promoting youth empowerment in your West Virginia community whether it be through a community coalition, youth-serving organization, organization, or just a supportive adult, this conference is for you!
